Created under the umbrella of Tony Brown’s and Tim DuBois’Nashville-based Universal South Records, producer/songwriter MonroeJones’ eb+flo Records will continue in the samesinger/songwriter/artist-driven label mentality. Jones (Jackson Browne,David Crosby, Third Day, etc.) will sign and produce all talent for hislabel. First under Jones’ wing is former Burlap to Cashmere frontmanSteven Delopoulos’ Americana project Me Died Blue.
“I want to build a reputation as a producer and label guy whosides with the artist,” said Jones, “and allows them tomaintain more control and ownership of their music. [Brown and DuBois]are really amazing, and as a producer, I want to carry what I am doinginto the label to facilitate the artists’ vision, just as theydo.”
