Sennheiser, Full Compass Team For Jones Event

Sennheiser and Full Compass Systems will co-sponsor an audio recoding event on September 11 with Grammy award-winning sound engineer Leslie Ann Jones at the Full Compass facility in Madison, WI.

Madison, WI (August 10, 2012)—Sennheiser and Full Compass Systems will co-sponsor an audio recoding event on September 11 with Grammy award-winning sound engineer Leslie Ann Jones at the Full Compass facility in Madison, WI. Jones will demonstrate vocal recording techniques and the best practices when recording live vocals in the studio.

Attendees will be provided with a pair of Sennheiser HD 449s, enabling them to monitor both recording and playback. The event will feature door prizes, including a K-array Piccolo audio system, a Neumann TLM 102 microphone and a True Systems P-Solo microphone preamplifier.

Jones is Director of Music Recording and Scoring with Skywalker Sound and has been a recording and mixing engineer for over 30 years. She has previously worked at ABC Recording Studios in Los Angeles, Automatt Recording Studios in Northern California and Capital Records in Hollywood. In 2003, she was nominated for a Grammy award for Best Engineered Recording, Classical, and received a Grammy Award for The Kronos Quartet’s recording of Berg: Lyric Suite. She also won a Grammy Award this year for Best Engineered Album, Classical for Quincy Porter: Complete Viola Works by Eliesha Nelson & John McLaughlin Williams.
