Sound Image Opens A/V, Install Division

Known for providing audio concert services for the likes of Jimmy Buffett, Ryan Adams and Bob Dylan, Sound Image Inc. has opened its new A/V Installations

Known for providing audio concert services for the likes of Jimmy Buffett, Ryan Adams and Bob Dylan, Sound Image Inc. has opened its new A/V Installations and Technology Division in its Scottsdale, Ariz., locale.

“We are very excited to be here in Arizona because of the dynamic, modern nature of this area,” said Sound Image director of contracting Scott Oosthuizen. “We have had wonderful and satisfying assignments here, and our new office and technology facility will allow us to deliver superior service for our clients and customers while expanding our services. It is clear to us what potential clients in the greater Phoenix area need right now is an A/V company with turnkey capabilities and one that will be around next year to service its installations. Sound Image is here for the long haul.” The new facility joins the company’s corporate headquarters in San Diego, Calif., and its touring office in Nashville.

Marty Waverley, C.T.S., has been appointed general manager of the new local facility. For Waverly, his new management position builds on a long career in the sound and presentation industry. He literally grew up in the business, running a video camera for his parent’s professional A/V operation when he was just 10 years old. Today, he is a certified A/V integrator with over 15 years of A/V experience. “We look forward to providing superior turnkey audio and visual integration services throughout Arizona from our new technology center here,” said Waverley.

The Sound Image Contracting Division creates multimedia solutions for churches, boardrooms, museums, casinos, hotels, schools, theme parks, stadiums, concert venues and much more. Current and recent projects have included: multi-classroom A/V systems for USC Science Hall (Phase 1 and Phase 2) in Los Angeles; A/V for Disney’s “A Bugs Life” in Anaheim, Calif.; theatrical audio, paging, video and RF systems for Southcoast Repertory Theater (Costa Mesa, Calif.); broadcast-quality video cameras, controls and projection, and sound reinforcement for Maranatha Chapel (San Diego, Calif.); video projectors, screens and a 15,000-watt sound system for a concert venue at Rincon Harrah’s Casino (Valley View, Calif.); and many others, including audio systems for the Hollywood Bowl.
