Pro Tools | Quartet
At IBC in Amsterdam, Holland, Avid and Apogee announced two new Avid Artist Suite products for music recording and stereo audio post: Pro Tools | Duet ($1,099) and Pro Tools | Quartet ($1,899) USB audio interfaces. These solutions feature Avid branded versions of Apogee’s award-winning Duet and Quartet audio interfaces, each paired with Avid’s industry-standard Pro Tools 11 software for Mac and Windows customers.
Both units come with Pro Tools IO Control EuCon-enabled software for advanced control (which requires download) and record in 24-bit/192kHz resolution. They offer premium AD/DA conversion, dynamically optimized mic preamps that provide up to 75 dB of transparent gain, and selectable Soft Limit, which protects against digital distortion from clipping.
Pro Tools | Quartet is a 12x8 USB audio interface with four combination mic/instrument/line inputs, 8 channels of ADAT/SMUX input via Toslink, six ¼-inch balanced line outputs for three speaker sets or 5.1 monitoring, one stereo headphone output and USB MIDI I/O. Pro Tools | Quartet further has three configurable touch pads, a multifunction controller knob and two full-color OLED displays.

Pro Tools | Duet is a 2x 4 USB audio interface with two combination mic/instrument/line inputs, two ¼-inch balanced line/speaker outputs, one stereo headphone out and USB MIDI I/O. It has two configurable touchpads, a multifunction controller knob and a full color OLED display.
