Executives of Boston-based Berklee College of Music and the Berkleemusic.com online school met at Winter NAMM with Ableton to develop future courses using Ableton Live and are co-marketing the course and software. Berkleemusic.com features Producing Music with Ableton Live, an online course that was updated during the fall 2005 semester to accommodate changes in the latest Live 5 software programs.
“We feel that online education, with the ability to update and adapt with the rapid changes in technology, is the ideal way to satisfy the demands of the musicians, engineers and producers of tomorrow,” says Dave Kusek, Berklee College of Music VP.
“Education is an essential component of our strategy at Ableton,” comments Rutger de Groot, Ableton commercial director. “We are very excited that the Berkleemusic online extension school has been able to offer Live users worldwide the very latest teaching tools to match our continual advancement. We look forward to growing our relationship with Berklee.”
