Earthworks Names Product Specialist

Earthworks Inc.—a leading manufacturer of high-definition microphones for recording, live sound, and test/measurement applications, based in Milford, N.H.—has appointed Craig Breckenridge (pictured) as its product specialist. Breckenridge will be tasked with overseeing training and product demonstrations of the entire Earthworks product line.

Breckenridge will interface with dealers and the company’s independent rep base throughout the U.S. to assist in the sales expansion into new market segments, and will be involved in the development of new products.

Having worked in the sound reinforcement and musical instrument industry for more than 25 years, Breckenridge has distinguished himself as a consultant to clients throughout the U.S., and is recognized for his applied sound reinforcement expertise and microphone knowledge. Most notably, he worked with St. Louis Music for 21 years. Recently he held the position as VP of sales at St. Louis Audio Visual Inc.

“I am delighted to be on board at Earthworks,” Breckenridge says. “As a brand and a company, Earthworks is highly sought after in both the recording and the live sound reinforcement segments of the pro audio industry, and is considered by many to be the accepted standard for affordable, reliable reference and measurement microphones. Earthworks’ new 15-year warranty is unequalled in the microphone industry. Over the last few years, the company has developed numerous highly respected products like the PM40 PianoMic Series and the new SR40V vocal mic. Earthworks products are being used by a long list of world-class artists and engineers, including Bruce Hornsby, Branford Marsalis, Steve Gadd, David Morgan, and James Taylor among others. I am honored to be chosen for this role and eagerly look forward to expanding the brand.”

“We are very pleased to have Craig joining our efforts,” says Bill Norton, Earthworks’ Chief Operating Officer. “He has been working with us on an as contractual basis for a few months now and he brings not only an expertise in studio miking and sound reinforcement, but also a wealth of knowledge of the contractors/specification business, a market segment that we view as important. I am confident of Craig’s ability to look at the big picture and help us identify realistic goals that will increase our presence in existing sales channels while simultaneously expanding into new markets.”
