Wireless microphone and audio processing manufacturer Lectrosonics is included on a new educational Website based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which covers issues germane to manufacturing.

Documentary video producer and owner of the Website, www.Manuflix.com, Jim Terr says it was his enthusiasm for the factory-visit films he used to see in grade school that inspired his new Website.

The Website features downloadable “How it’s Made” videos produced for promotional and informational purposes by manufacturers of all sorts. Among these is a three-minute segment shot in the Lectrosonics factory in Rio Rancho. This same segment is featured on the Lectrosonics Website (www.lectrosonics.com) and accessible from the “Tour the Factory” quick link on the home page.

Terr produced a documentary called “Six-Minute Manufacturing,” exploring the manufacturing processes at eight New Mexico plants, which has been distributed to schools and libraries nationwide. It was due to the response to this video, and the potential for promoting New Mexico as a manufacturing site, that The McCune Charitable Foundation and The New Mexico Economic Development Department provided initial support to launch the new site. ManuFlix.com is accepting submissions from manufacturers, and will be offering a monthly DVD series of these videos, which will be made available to subscribers.
