Furman Sound recently announced the following preview of new products for the upcoming InfoComm tradeshow (Las Vegas, June 8-11).

Furman’s Series Multi-Stage Protection Plus (SMP+) delivers AC power and protection in a surge strip. Furman’s proprietary SMP+ employs three technologies, including LiFT (Linear Filtering Technology, which ensures that sensitive audio/video components are fed linearly filtered AC power. In addition, SMP (Series Multi-Stage Protection) stops electrical surges and spikes without the need for maintenance, replacement or replacement parts. Finally, EVS (Extreme Voltage Shutdown) responds to over-voltage conditions that would damage or destroy A/V equipment, by shutting the system down.

The AC-215, a compact power purification and protection unit that was designed to be mounted on the back of a flat-screen television display or used in any application where a discreetly located, remote power purification/protection is needed. This small, easy-to-install unit includes two rear-panel outlets and SMP.

The 15-A AR-15 Voltage Regulator and Power Conditioner delivers a stable 120 V of AC power to protect equipment from problems caused by AC line voltage irregularities such as sags, brownouts or over-voltages, which can cause sensitive electronic equipment to malfunction or sustain damage. The AR-15 accepts any input voltage from 97 to 141 V and transforms it to a constant 120 V (±5 V). Additionally, the AR-15 filters and purifies AC power, reducing line noise.

The Power Factor Pro R delivers a rackmount version of the popular power conditioning unit, which allows instrument amplifiers to perform to their true potential.
Furman’s new Power Factor Correction Technology adds another level of filtration to dramatically lower AC line noise in the critical audio frequency band. The Power Factor Pro R also incorporates a current reservoir that stores up to 45 A of current.

Housed in a compact single-rackspace unit and featuring nine available outlets, the Power Factor Pro R will be used in applications that demand the highest level of power purification.
