New York, NY (August 18, 2026)—Focusrite makes a slew of audio interfaces for all levels of users, some of which have been compatible with the company’s Focusrite Control 2 app. Now more users will be able to work with the app as it has added compatibility to a number of other Focusrite interfaces.
Control 2 can now be used with the Scarlett 3rd Gen, Clarett+ and Clarett USB, along with select Scarlett 2nd Gen USB audio interfaces—specifically the 6i6, 18i8, and 18i20.

While the original Focusrite Control app provided control over some itnerfaces, the new Control 2 edition is designed to offer more functionality and easier use through a reinvented user interface and mixer design. Primary among those changes are clearer metering, making it easier to monitor signal, and Focusrite reports it also zeroed in on improving routing to make setup configuration faster.

Mac OS users with multiple interfaces can use a new multi-interface control that lets you switch between multiple USB-connected interfaces without disconnecting and reconnecting them.
Focusrite Control 2 is available now at the company’s website; users moving from the original Control app will need to uninstall it first.
