Neu-Anspach, Germany (October 27, 2026)—LD Systems is adding to its Maui G3 series of portable P.A. systems with the introduction of three new column systems—the Maui 44 G3, Maui 44 G3 Mix and Maui 66 G3.

The new models each sport a fully active 4-way architecture with dedicated driver groups and controlled cardioid dispersion, housed in a familiar plug-and-play design.

The Maui 44 G3 and Maui 44 G3 Mix each have a newly developed 15″ neodymium woofer that reportedly provides bass down to 34 Hz. Both systems are said to provide 1,800 W RMS (3,600 W peak) and reach a maximum SPL of 133 dB.

Meanwhile, the Maui 66 G3, the most powerful system in the Maui series, features an 18″ neodymium woofer with bass response down to 28 Hz. The system reportedly delivers 1,900 W RMS (3,800 W peak) and reaches up to 135 dB SPL. All three models include flow-optimized bass-reflex ports intended to reduce air turbulence and port noise in an effort to ensure punchy, defined bass at all volumes.

The two-piece aluminum columns of the Maui 44 G3 models house a total of 14 × 3.5″ neodymium midrange drivers and four 1″ compression drivers. The Maui 66 G3 expands that configuration to 16 midrange drivers, two of which are positioned above the tweeters.

Newly developed phase plugs and a BEM-optimized waveguide in the upper column element are also used in an effort to ensure uniform sound dispersion over a 120° × 25° pattern.

The passive cardioid design of the column focuses the sound energy towards the audience and attenuates rear dispersion in the 100 Hz to 1 kHz range by up to 18 dB.

Unique among the three new models, the Maui 44 G3 Mix also has an integrated 8-channel digital mixer featuring eight XLR/jack combo inputs—six of them with integrated microphone preamplifiers—allowing direct connection of microphones, instruments and other line-level sources. Bluetooth audio streaming, internal effects and a footswitch input expand the possibilities for live performances with multiple sources. Four monitor outputs are available for independent monitor mixes. All mixer and system settings can be controlled either via the integrated color display or wirelessly using the free Maui Mix app (iOS and Android). Using SysLink, users can connect two Maui 44 G3 Mix units to form a stereo setup with a total of 16 input channels and operate both systems centrally.

The LD Systems Maui 44 G3 (€2,499) and Maui 66 G3 (€ 2,999) are expected to be available at the end of October, while the Maui 44 G3 Mix (€2,999) is expected to follow in late December 2026.
