Berlin, Germany (September 21, 2026)—Neumann has introduced its new KK 104 A and KK 105 A condenser capsule heads, designed specifically for Sennheiser Spectera, EW-D, EW-DX, and Digital 6000/9000 handheld transmitters.
Created in the wake of Neumann’s recently KK 204 and KK 205 capsules, the new A-Series capsules combine the company’s condenser technology with an updated design, reduced handling noise, and compatibility with the latest wireless ecosystems from its parent company, Sennheiser.

The KK 104 A and KK 105 A are intended to bring the sound of Neumann’s KMS stage microphones to the wireless format. Both models employ true condenser technology with an aim of providing transparency, fast transient response and vocal detail, as well as feedback resistance and a “natural” sound.
Both capsule heads feature pop protection, handling noise rejection and a fixed low cut filter that controls proximity effect during close mic use. A hardened steel grille with an integrated pop screen protects the capsule from moisture and helps reduce plosives and sibilance.

The KK 104 A features a cardioid polar pattern that with a reportedly slightly more open pickup characteristic in an effort to provide a natural, spacious sound. Meanwhile, the KK 105 A utilizes a supercardioid pickup pattern for maximum isolation and control, focusing more tightly on the source and rejecting off axis sound for a defined vocal presentation.
The KK 104 A and KK 105 A capsule heads were showcased alongside Sennheiser’s Spectera SKM handheld transmitter at IBC 2026 and are expected to street by the end of September.
