Pyramind’s newly renovated Studio A now features an 11.2 Meyer Cinema Surround System made up of three Acheron Studio Screen Channel Loudspeakers, eight Meyer Sound HMS-10 cinema surround loudspeakers, two Meyer Sound x-800C high-power cinema subwoofers and two Galileo 408 loudspeaker management systems. The Studio A Meyer Sound System installation was done by Dennis P. Stearns. The Meyer Sound System and Studio A mix room was tuned by Bob Hodas for stereo, 5.1 and 7.1 DTS and Dolby Digital surround.

Pyramind’s Studio A is San Francisco’s largest surround mix room and dubbing stage and uses a Mac Pro Eight Core Tower and an Avid 16 channel HD/IO interface running the latest versions of Pro Tools 10, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, and Reason. An HP gaming PC has been added for playback of video game builds and real time interactive mixing. The control surface is an Avid D-Command with X-Mon and surround panner. All of Pyramind’s studios have extensive plug-in architectures as well as server fed access to both custom music and sound effects libraries as well as libraries from East/West, Project SAM, Vienna Symphonic, and many more. Studio A is enhanced by a sonically isolated voiceover room and a 300′ live tracking room complete with renovated foley pits for creating live sound effects and sound design. The five hundred square foot control room has been outfitted with a 22′ Projection Screen, an Epson HD projector and Marantz AV7005 Receiver for HDMI distribution.
