Smart AV and SADiE have agreed to share protocols with the intention to integrate the new Smart AV Smart Console control surface and the new generation SADiE Series 5 digital audio engines,, including the PCM-H64.
The Smart AV Smart Console specializes in ergonomic efficiency and the SADiE Series 5 digital audio engine incorporates the use of a 64-bit high-speed PCI interface.
Joseph Narai, managing director of Smart AV reports that, “We’re very excited to announce this new cooperative working relationship with SADiE. The quantum throughput improvements in the new Series 5 SADiE digital engines are a perfect complement to the similar improvements gained from the revolutionary ergonomics of the Smart Console.”
Commenting on the new agreement between the two companies, SADiE managing director Joe Bull added, “Like so many audio engineers, we have been profoundly impressed by the innovative and unique design of the Smart Console. We view the console as the natural partner for the new SADiE PCM-H64 large-scale multichannel platform. This powerful combination will undoubtedly have tremendous appeal to the post-production and music communities.”
The Smart Console’s audio control surface incorporates patented ARC technology, which uses a physical arc located above the controls and within arm’s reach of the sound engineer to represent all the channels on a traditional long console. Touching the ARC at any location brings up the desired channel and the channels surrounding it for the engineer.
The SADiE PCM-H64 represents a powerful new large-scale multitrack DAW for post and music applications. At the heart of the system is the newly developed SADiE TNG3 processing engine. Each TNG3 card is capable of real-time editing, equalization, control of dynamics and mixing into full surround of up to 64 channels of 48-kHz/24-bit, or up to 16 channels of 192-kHz/24-bit digital audio.
