ALIBI Music Enlists Sync Agent for Canada

Cadence Music Group is licensing ALIBI’s expansive, Hollywood-quality music and sound effects library for use by Canada-based businesses and productions.

ALIBI Music, a production music company trusted by top movie studios, trailer houses, TV networks, streaming companies, advertising agencies, game developers and other content creators around the world, has signed a new sync agent for Canada. Cadence Music Group is now exclusively representing and licensing ALIBI’s expansive, Hollywood-quality music and sound effects for use by Canada-based businesses and productions.

Serving as ALIBI’s sync agent, Cadence will keep licensing rates competitive and suitable to the Canadian marketplace while meeting the needs for qualifying national tax credit incentives. Those working with Cadence to license the music for their Canadian productions will find a fresh and valuable resource often referred to as “one of Hollywood’s best kept secrets.” See work examples.

Featuring more than 400,000 audio files (tracks, stems and alt versions) across genres, ALIBI Music’s diverse and highly customizable catalogue is updated constantly with new music from a diverse array of professional composers and artists. This music is accessible from an intuitive, search-friendly interface, and there is also an ALIBI Music extension panel for Adobe Premiere Pro that allows users to access the library’s robust functionality without leaving their edit sessions.

“After interviewing several prospective agents, we felt confident entrusting the licensing of our music to Cadence,” said Jonathan Parks, ALIBI Music’s founder and executive producer. “It was important for us to have a team in place that is very familiar with the nuances of Canada’s production scene and the specialized needs of clients in this market. Cadence checked both those boxes, and we’re excited to be working with them.”

“The quality of ALIBI Music’s tracks is undeniable and their website is really easy and efficient to navigate. It’s easy to see why this catalogue has become a go-to for many of the larger and well-established studios, production companies and music supervisors in the U.S.,” said Rich Brisson, Cadence Music Group’s Creative Sync & Licensing Manager. “This is a very exciting partnership and we are happy to be introducing this catalogue to the Canadian market.”

Brisson plans to highlight the ALIBI Music library for delegates attending the upcoming Prime Time 2024 conference (1/31 – 2/2). Schedule a meeting with him HERE or contact him at [email protected].
