Crosby, Stills, and Nash convened at Ocean Way Recording in Hollywood to mix the audio of a recent concert for a forthcoming HDNet release. Recorded live in concert, March 22, at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, the program includes CSN favorites such as “Long Time Gone,” “Wooden Ships.” “Teach Your Children,” and a rarely performed “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes.”

During sessions at Ocean Way in Hollywood, Graham Nash explained, “My son Will asked CSN to do ‘Suite: Judy Blue Eyes’ for the DVD that we were taping for HDNet, and obviously, we hadn’t performed this song in years. However, at his suggestion, we did it and it turned out very well indeed. We’re mixing the audio for the DVD here at Ocean Way and we are enjoying it a great deal. What a wonderful studio — It’s a pleasure to be here.”

Known for their tight vocal harmonies, members of the folk-rock group CSN already had strong credentials when they formed, having been with the Byrds, the Hollies and Buffalo Springfield. Their self-titled debut album reached the top 10 in 1969. And their performance at Woodstock solidified their iconic status in the annals of ’60s rock. CSN has never stopped recording and performing, with a full schedule of dates this June, July, August and September across America.
