Show Open and Awards Package Audio Mixes for TV Specials:
“2008 People‘s Choice Awards:” SonicPool is providing the show open and awards package audio mix for the “2008 People‘s Choice Awards.” Unlike the Oscars or the Golden Globes – in which nominees and winners are selected by industry peers – the People’s Choice Awards are determined solely by the viewing public. This year, nominees were announced in November 2007, with final winners to be revealed during the 35th Annual People’s Choice Awards airing live January 8, 2008 from L.A. at 9PM ET on the CBS Television Network.
“2008– 13th Annual Critics‘ Choice Awards:” Hosted by DL Hughley and airing on January 7th on VH-1, The Critics’ Choice Awards are given out annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association, honoring the year’s finest achievements in cinema. This is the first year the awards will be airing on VH-1.
SonicPool is providing Mixing and Sound Designing for the awards program‘s in-show graphics packages.
“Spike TV”s 2007 Video Game Awards:” For client Liquid Theory, SonicPool, for the second year in a row, provided audio services for this live telecast which aired on Spike TV on December 9, 2007. The special was hosted by Samuel L. Jackson.
5.1 Mix and SD Online/Color Correction:
“The Damon Wayans Comedy Special:” For client Wayout TV, SonicPool provided the 5.1 mix and SC Online/color correction for this new comedy special from Damon Wayans which recently aired on Comedy Central.
Audio Mix for Show Graphics Package and Online:
“Fearnet:” The latest promos for this cable TV horror channel received audio mix and show graphics package and online work from SonicPool.
Voice Over Recordings:
“Warrior Quest:” For client NorthSouth Productions, and soon to be airing on The Discovery Channel, SonicPool provided VO services for this new program.
“Ugliest House on the Block:” Again for NorthSouth Productions, and airing on the WE Network, SonicPool provided VO services. In this makeover series, neighbors nominate a home for improvement. The offending home owners are good natured, easy going and completely in on the gag. They‘re not bad people; they just don‘t put high priority on pansies in the flower bed. The neighbours and offending homeowners must then work together to make numerous home improvements that will smarten up the whole street and improve everyone‘s view.
Launched in Hollywood in 2001, SonicPool was co-founded by post production specialists John Frost and Patrick Bird. Each of the men currently serves the company as a President and CEO.
SonicPool is comprised of 14 SD & HD Offline and Online Edit Suites, two Theatrical Mix Stages and two additional Mix Suites, as well as a complete Machine Room Services with all the standard SD & HD decks.
