Gibson Pro Audio, the official P.A. sponsor of the 2013 Winter Music Conference (WMC), is showcasing the latest innovations for the DJ and production industries with several DJ clinics, panel discussions and exclusive events during the conference, taking place March 15 through 24 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Attendees will be able to check out Cerwin-Vega!’s new P-Series active speakers on multiple stages for performances throughout WMC, including the WMC 2013 DJ Spin-Off, presented with Smirnoff’s Master of the Mix reality TV series. Visitors will also have a chance to attend Sound Off!, a hands-on workshop on Monday, March 18, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m., in Room A-109. Hosted by Stanton’s resident DJ, DJ B-Side, and other guest DJs, the workshop will give participants a chance to experience the latest gear from Gibson Pro Audio brands Cerwin-Vega!, KRK and Stanton DJ, including the Cerwin-Vega! P-Series and Stanton SCS.4DJ USB Mixstation.
B-Side and other Stanton DJs will also take part in several WMC panel discussions. During the Progression of DJ & Production Technology panel, taking place Wednesday March 20, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., in Room A-111, the DJs will talk about advancements in DJ hardware, software, outboard gear, digital production, home studio and multimedia applications. Stanton DJ Stryke will play a role in The Producers Forum, hosted by The Recording Academy Florida Chapter, in conjunction with the Winter Music Conference, on Wednesday, March 20, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., in Room A-208. There, panel members will discuss creative and business trends in the dance and electronic community. Stanton artists DJ Immortal and Ballistic Billy, along with the company’s industry-standard STR8.150 ultra-high-torque turntables, will partake in the Scratch DJ Academy’s 5th Scratch Summit Thursday, March 21, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Academy’s Miami location, 450 NW 28th Street, Miami, Florida.
Gibson Pro Audio brands will host several exclusive evening events at WMC. The official DJVatican, TurntableU.com and Stanton DJ will host an industry mixer, the DJ Vatican Industry Mixer, at one of South Beach’s most exclusive new venues, Club SOUZ (formerly the Pink Room), on Monday March 18 from 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. This event unites DJs, label executives, recording artists, publishers, A&Rs and celebrities under one roof and on one dance floor. The Official WMC industry party Serafin and Friends, will take place on Monday, March 18 from 10:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. at Villa 221 (Upper Downtown) Miami. Here Stanton welcomes L.A based Electro/House/Trap and Mash-up Master – DJ Serafin and a few of his close personal friends to destroy his own turntables. Stanton DJ’s DJ B-Side, DJ Miss Joy, DJ LNX, Kontrol, JungleBoy and other will showcase their talents on a Cerwin-Vega P-series system at Gett O.F.F.!!! vs. Open House on Friday, March 22, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at SOLE on the Ocean in Sunny Isles, Florida. DJ B-Side will return to SOLE on the Ocean for Recycled Beats! on Sunday, March 24, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Joined by Supa-Dups, Miss Joy, Bigz and JungleBoy and others, attendees of the iconic pool party will enjoy classic breaks, beats and rare grooves from the past, present and future, spanning genres from soul, funk and reggae to disco, house, rock, hip hop and more.
