WHAT:
On September 25th IMSTA FESTA, a celebration of music software is coming to the heart of New York City. The First IMSTA FESTA started in Japan where it was highly successful for music technology companies, producers and hobbyists alike. IMSTA FESTA brings a collection of the top audio technology companies together in an environment where they can interact with music makers face-to-face. Anyone who makes music will benefit from this event in a number of ways.
IMSTA FESTA is a FREE event. Open to anyone interested in the art of music making; professionals, semi-Pros, hobbyists and students. All visitors must register on-line www.imsta.org
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:
• Meet the top music technology companies in a hands-on environment.
• Attend the Shocklee Innertainment Panel Series hosted by Shocklee Entertainment. These panels include industry heavy weights that will coach visitors on how to get the most out of
their music.
• Enter Akon’s Hitlab Song Competition. Visitors are encouraged to bring an mp3 file of their best-recorded song for a chance to perform in front of Akon and win a record label contract. The first, second and third place winners will receive software prizes given away by world-class music software companies.
• Just for attending, visitors will receive $100 of FREE software courtesy of IK Multimedia.
• Finally, get the chance to meet a legend of the music business, Mr. Clyde Stubblefield , the ‘funky drummer’ from James Brown’s band of the 60’s and 70’s. This is Clyde’s first New York appearance in ages and he will be accessible to answer questions and sign autographs.
