In a nutshell, the Room Combine 788 combines up to eight microphones and four background music sources in as many as eight different rooms. Full input conditioning, automatic mixing, and loudspeaker management makes any sound system a thing of sonic beauty, and Symetrix’ deeply-integrated support of Symetrix ARC wall panels and third-party user interfaces adds the polish that earns word of mouth referrals. But as the video shows, what sets the Room Combine 788 apart from other room combine
solutions is its ability to easily create custom room configurations and combinations using free Windows-based software (64-bit compatible). Moreover, the configurations and combinations are visual and intuitive: creating the rooms amounts to drawing rectangles on a grid that can then be customized with names and combined with the click of a mouse. End user control is a challenge for other systems, but not for the 788. When used with ARC-SWK wall panels, each room has local control of volume and background music source selection. As room combine, wall panels automatically link. When enabling wall panel linking and unlinking, the 788’s External Controller Wizard eliminates the need for time consuming programming.
