Gospel Music Channel Show Profiles Christian Recording Artists’ Music and Life
Franklin, TN – Paragon Studios recently completed sound mixing five episodes of Faith & Fame, Gospel Music Channel’s original biography series featuring Gospel artists sharing stories of their lives, family, music and faith.
“Tangible Vision, which produced the program, does a great job assembling the show. They always have very detailed notes and a clear vision of how they want it to sound prior to our involvement,” says Fred Paragano, owner of Paragon Studios. “After acquiring their picture and OMF files, the episode goes to our editorial department. Once ready, the show moves into our C300 post room for the final mix. Typically, I will spend about two days mixing, and a day of approvals with me and the producer, Paul Reeves. Because Paul is so well prepared, these projects always flow smoothly.”
The sound mixing for the five episodes was done using the Solid State Logic C300 post console along with Pro Tools(r) in Paragon’s Studio B. The show features Christian recording artists such as Amy Grant, Kirk Franklin, TobyMac, Mercy Me and Jeremy Camp. The show, which is broadcast in stereo, has also been mixed in 5.1 surround sound.
Paragon Studios and Tangible Vision not only share a working relationship, they also share a common place of business. Just over a year and a half ago, owners/producers Paul and Michele Reeves approached Paragon Studios for a location to house their growing business. As tenants, they now occupy a 2,500 square foot space in the 22,000 square foot building owned by Paragano. “Even from the early stages of the building’s design phase, the plan was to occupy the unused space with synergistic businesses such as Tangible Vision. Their presence here helps forward the original goal of creating a media based complex.” Paragano continues, “Tangible Vision is a great production company to have under our roof. I really enjoy working with their team and look forward to collaborating with them again in the future.”
