Audio Technica’s Got the Midnight Blues

Audio-Technica recently introduced the next generation of Midnight Blues microphones, based on its original vocal and instrument mic series.

Audio-Technica recently introduced the next generation of MidnightBlues microphones, based on its original vocal and instrument micseries.

The new Midnight Blues line is comprised of four models: the MB1kUnidirectional Dynamic Vocal Microphone; MB2k Unidirectional DynamicInstrument Microphone; MB3k Unidirectional Dynamic Vocal Microphone;and MB4k Cardioid Condenser Microphone. All models are available withan optional 15-foot XLRM cable.

The MB1k Unidirectional Dynamic Vocal Microphone featuresAudio-Technica’s Hi-ENERGY® neodymium magnet structure;Magna-Lock™ switch design; and corrosion-resistant gold-platedXLRM connectors. The MB1k also includes the AT8470 Quiet-Flex™stand clamp and 5/8 – 27-inch to 3/8 – 16-inch threadedadapter.

The MB2k Unidirectional Dynamic Instrument Microphone features atailored frequency response, Hi-ENERGY neodymium magnet structure,soft-touch finish, Magna-Lock switch, and gold-plated XLRM connectors,and comes with the AT8470 Quiet-Flex stand clamp.

The MB3k Unidirectional Dynamic Vocal Microphone features aHi-ENERGY neodymium magnet structure for improved output and fasttransient response. Other features include A-T’s Magna-Locksilent switch, soft-touch finish, gold-plated XLRM connectors, theAT8470 Quiet-Flex stand clamp.

The MB4k Cardioid Condenser Microphone has an extended frequencyresponse, soft-touch finish, on/off switch, gold-plated XLRMconnectors, battery/phantom operation, and comes with the AT8405a standclamp, battery, and 5/8 – 27-inch to 3/8 – 16-inch threadedadaptor.
