Broadjam Unveils Song-Management System

Broadjam (New Glarus, Wisc.), a provider of music-publishing software tools and services, unveiled its Song-Management System, a Web-based music database

Broadjam (New Glarus, Wisc.), a provider of music-publishingsoftware tools and services, unveiled its Song-Management System, aWeb-based music database and search engine at www.broadjam.com.

The system hopes to provide music publishers, record labels,performing rights organizations and other music industry organizationswith an intelligent online database for their music and song catalogs.Broadjam has already contracted one music publisher that provides thecatalogs of artists such as Tommy Dorsey, Madonna and Led Zeppelin.Broadjam also licensed its Song-Management System to The Orchard, aindependent music distributor to online and offline retailers, for itsnew spin-off, OWIE.

The system enables users to search multi-criteria topics, from songgenre, mood, similar artist, era, tempo, key and lanaguage, andretrieve qualified matches as digital files, which can be streameddirectly to the user from the user screen. Also provided is informationon the rights-holders.
