Symetrix is introducing the new AirTools 6200 voice processor and upgrades to the Studio Matrix signal processing system at booth #N1610. All units are now shipping.

The AirTools 6200 is a dual-channel, DSP-driven voice processor with all of the necessary functions to handle complete signal processing of microphone or line-level signals, in dual-mono or stereo. Processing blocks are editable from the front panel or from a Windows-based GUI accessed via USB or Ethernet ports, and changes are stored in any of the 1,024 onboard preset locations. Processes include filtering, parametric equalization, compression, de-essing, gating, room simulation and more. The 6200 also supports HomerLink, an interconnect protocol that makes it compatible with the Studio Matrix system.

The Studio Matrix system (a modular system for routing, mixing and processing of broadcast audio) is now shipping and supporting software Version 1.1. Systems are comprised of dedicated input and output 1RU DSP modules that network together using the proprietary SymLink bus. Studio Matrix Designer software for Windows provides system configuration and real-time control of audio functions via serial or Ethernet connection. A full complement of processing functions, including filtering, equalization, dynamics, mix-minus, AGC and more, are supported in the software, and available in every DSP device.
