The METAlliance (Music Engineering & Technology Alliance) has announced that Sennheiser has become the newest Pro Partner of the organization. Pro Partner membership is limited to companies that have shown a capacity and proclivity to manufacture and distribute products that meet the organization’s professional audio qualifications.

The METAlliance is comprised of a group of globally-recognized, award-winning audio engineers and producers who have been deeply involved in establishing techniques and technical standards that are the foundation of modern music recording. The METAlliance founders are Chuck Ainlay, Ed Cherney, Frank Filipetti, George Massenburg, Elliot Scheiner, Al Schmitt, and the late Phil Ramone.

The METAlliance’s Chuck Ainlay commented, “Sennheiser has always been a must see brand when I’m looking over a studio’s inventory of microphones and headphones before deciding to work there.”

“I’ve been using Sennheiser mics since my days at A&R Recording,” added METAlliance’s Elliot Scheiner. “Always reliable and in some cases — the go-to mic.”

Joe Ciaudelli, Sennheiser’s Director, Advanced Projects & Engineering, commented, “Sennheiser is proud to be associated with this preeminent group of engineers and producers. Through their creative and innovative use of our products the METAlliance members push the boundaries, create art, provide feedback, and thus inspire us to constantly improve. We are committed to continue to earn their respect, again and again.”

METAlliance Pro Partnership is a group of companies that share the founders’ belief that a call for quality is important. It is limited, by invitation, to those companies that provide products and services deemed worthy of consideration by professionals. Avid joins other METAlliance Pro Partners: AKG, Audio-Technica, Cakewalk, DPA Microphones, JBL Pro, Lexicon, Manley Laboratories, GML, Millennia Music & Media Systems, Neumann USA, Prism Sound, Royer MIcrophones, Sanken Microphones, Solid State Logic, Sonnox, Steinberg, tc electronic, Universal Audio, and Yamaha.
