Frankfurt, Germany (April 7, 2017)—In amongst a slew of new products, Martin Audio unveiled its new LE Series stage monitors at this year’s Prolight + Sound Show in Frankfurt.
While akin to Martin Audio’s new XE Series monitors which were also announced at the show, the latest LE Series aims to bring the company’s vibe to a lower price point. Both the LE100 (1 x 12” LF”) and the LE200 (1 x 15” LF) are designed for a use in clubs, corporate AV events, HOW, installations and so on.
The monitors sport the same Coaxial Differential Dispersion drivers as the CDD-LIVE range, and provide a coverage pattern intended to provide performers with freedom of movement.
Instead of the typical ‘hot-spot’, they produce a near-rectangular coverage pattern over a listening plane at head height—with a wide horizontal coverage close to the monitor that reduces gradually as distance increases to maintain consistent SPL and tonal balance.
