More than 650 people were on hand for the 55th Annual CAS Awards, held Feb. 17, 2019, in downtown Los Angeles. Awards were presented in seven categories for Outstanding Sound Mixing Motion Picture and Television and two Outstanding Product Awards. The professional contributions of production sound mixer Lee Orloff, CAS were recognized as he received the CAS Career Achievement Award, and Steven Spielberg received the CAS Filmmaker Award.
The CAS Outstanding Product Awards were presented to Dan Dugan Sound Design for its Dugan Automixing in Sound Devices 633 Compact Mixer (Production), and iZotope, Inc. for its RX7 (Post-Production). Please note that, because of space considerations, only the production sound mixer and re-recording mixers are listed.
