After teaming with Buell Motorcycles last year on the Mine spot, the Echo Boys post house has reunited with Buell and its ad agency, Laughlin Constable/Chicago, to contribute sound design and audio post to a fast-paced music video-type spot titled Do It Again. The spot was produced by Phil Smith of Laughlin Constable/Chicago.
The 1:17 music video, cut to Psykohed’s hard-driving “Do It Again,” spotlights two bikers who engage in a stunt-riding competition in the alley of a gritty urban warehouse as onlookers cheer them on.
Echo Boys’ Tom Lecher contributed sound design, and mixer Bethany Lacktorin handled the audio post for the project at their full-service studio, which offers Pro Tools|HD, IISDN Codec and two live rooms. Echo Boy’s sister company, Crash & Sue’s, provided telecine, creative editorial and finishing services, and brought in director/DP Mark Dektor of Dektor Film, Hollywood to shoot the 35mm production.
The music video is designed to be part of a CD-ROM promotion targeted to Buell dealerships and prospective customers; bonus material will include additional entertainment segments, informational features and an interview with company founder and chief engineer Erik Buell.
