M-Audio in Cumberland, Rhode Island, unveiled five new M-Track Series audio interfaces at Winter NAMM 2016: M-Track 1212 ($399), M-Track 84 ($299), M-Track 22 ($149), M-Track Solo ($99) and M-Track Hub ($69; all prices are MSRP). The M-Track 1212 12-in/12-out USB-C High Speed Audio Interface offers 32-bit/192kHz audio, while the other four models offer 24-bit audio performance.
The M-Track 1212 presents a choice of two XLR/TRS combo inputs or two instrument inputs, and includes two DB-25 8-channel TRS connectors for connecting 8 line-level inputs and outputs. A Control Panel application allows users to create mix groups and route sub mixes. It includes the software AIR Creative Collection FX, Ableton Live Lite, AIR Strike, AIR Xpand!2 and AIR Mini Grand.
M-Track 84 is a 24-bit/192kHz USB-C High Speed 8×4 Audio Interface with four XLR/TRS combo inputs and two instrument inputs, with dedicated preamps. It also has two ¼-inch headphone outputs with independent source select switches (1/2 or 3/4) and level controls for recording two musicians with two separate mixes. It is compatible with USB-A and promises zero-latency monitoring with USB/Direct balance control. AIR Creative Collection FX, Ableton Live Lite, AIR Strike, AIR Xpand!2 and AIR Mini Grand software is included.
M-Track 22 is a 24-bit/192kHz USB-C High Speed 2×2 Audio Interface that lets users switch between two XLR/TRS combo inputs or two instrument inputs with auto sensing front and real panel jacks. The unit includes a 5-pin MIDI input/output for connecting all external MIDI gear. It is also also compatible with USB-A and promises zero-latency monitoring with USB/Direct Balance control, and likewise includes AIR Creative Collection FX, Ableton Live Lite, AIR Strike, AIR Xpand!2 and AIR Mini Grand software.
M-Track Solo is a 24-bit/192kHz USB-C High Speed 2×2 Audio Interface with one dedicated XLR/TRS combo input and one dedicated instrument input. It is also also compatible with USB-A and promises zero-latency monitoring with USB/Direct Balance control, and likewise includes AIR Creative Collection FX, Ableton Live Lite, AIR Strike, AIR Xpand!2 and AIR Mini Grand software.
The portable M-Track Hub USB Monitoring Interface has a built-in 3-port hub and offers 24-bit resolution on playback, two balanced ¼-inch main outputs with dedicated large metal level control and headphone output with independent level control. It can power three separate USB MIDI devices.
