Sony has added the SRP-X500P digital powered mixer to its SRP multipurpose audio mixer family (which also includes the SRP-X100 and the SRP-X700P models). Debuting in February 2005, the SRP-X500P mixer packs a host of audio and video interconnectivity into its lightweight, compact 3U size. The digital powered mixer combines an extensive array of system control options for small to mid-sized conference rooms, corporate boardrooms, classrooms and houses of worship. Flexible, expandable and configured with an easy-to-use front panel layout, this unit can facilitate operation of compatible Sony VCRs, DVD players, CD players, MiniDisc™ recorders and projectors.
The SRP-X500P mixer will have a suggested retail price of $1,700. Additional features include high-quality digital sound processing with 4-channel digital amplifier and independent feedback reduction processing for mic sources; serial output for projector/flat-panel input selection control and a parallel I/O port; external RS-232 control port; four speaker and four line outputs; one stereo line input; five A/V source input selector (each with stereo audio); and 48kHz 24-bit AD/DA conversion and internal 32-bit floating processing for high-quality audio.
