VER Adds VerTec to Inventory

Brady Belavek (L) and Joe Casanova prepare for JBL’s VerTec Certificate Training program.

Video Equipment Rentals (VER), an A/V, broadcast and audio equipment rental company in the U.S. with 16 offices nationwide, recently purchased a new JBL VerTec system, adding to its extensive audio equipment inventory available for rent to sound reinforcement firms, corporate show designers and special-event audio teams.

“VER could have bought any brand of line array speakers we wanted,” says Joe Casanova, audio products manager for VER’s Dallas-area operation. “We chose JBL VerTec for several reasons. It has that classic JBL sound, plenty of power and yet a pure, high-fidelity quality. Additionally, the rigging is very simple to use. We’re getting lots of calls to rent it. Our clients report great success on the first field projects. The VerTEc VT4889 system adds additional depth to our audio inventory to address the needs of our customers across the country.”

Upon taking delivery of its sizable new Crown-powered VerTec inventory, including VT4889 line array elements, VT4880 full-size subwoofers and VT4888 mid-size enclosures, VER audio technicians received JBL’s Certificate Training program in line array theory and system setup, use and maintenance. Brady Belavek, audio products manager for VER’s Glendale, Calif., facility, hosted the training program in November for California-based staff and affiliated independent technicians, while Joe Casanova organized the program for Texas-based technicians in December.
