England Sound Company Purchases Allen & Heath Board

Concert P.A. rental company Sound of Music Ltd. (Nottingham, England) purchased a 40-channel Allen & Heath ML4000

Concert P.A. rental company Sound of Music Ltd. (Nottingham,England) purchased a 40-channel Allen & Heath ML4000 live sound VCAconsole to update its existing hire equipment. The console wasimmediately put to work on a show by Australian ABBA tribute band,Bjorn Again, at the Hilton Hotel in Park Lane, London.

“The events for which we are providing sound reinforcement areincreasingly high profile and high tech, making our original deskrather dated,” said Sound of Music’s audio engineer, Sash Pochibko. “Weneeded an innovative console with plenty of aux sends and dualfunctionality to handle monitors from FOH if we needed to withoutcompromising on FX sends and superb features like VCA capability forgrouping.”

For Bjorn Again, Sound of Music employed the ML3000 on monitors andits ML4000 at front of house. Other outings for the soundcompany’s ML4000 included the live band stage at WarwickUniversity Ball at the Metropole Hotel, Birmingham; Westlife performingat The Powerhouse in Newcastle, where the ML4000 mixed FOH and monitorsonstage; and Beenie Man at the Isis, Nottingham.

“When Allen & Heath launched the ‘B’ option offering extrastereo channels for the ML Series at the PLASA show last year, theML4000 was the ideal mixer for our needs,” Pochibko continued. “Notonly did it fall in our price bracket, it fulfilled our specrequirements. The brand status also complements our stock of NexoAlpha-e loudspeakers and Camco amplifiers, as well as the ML3000already on our kit list.”
