Omnitronics LLC president Brig Carr
CAD Professional Microphones and Astatic Commercial Audio Products of Solon, Ohio were recently acquired along with parent company Omnitronics LLC by FBC Investment Group, a private equity firm in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Under the leadership of Omnitronics president Brig Carr (pictured), assisted by newly appointed CAD and Astatic VP of sales, Tony O'Keefe, both brands will undertake aggressive initiatives in terms of product development, sales, marketing and distribution.
Carr is a senior level sales executive who served as business development manager for Invacare Corporation, a leader in the medical rehabilitation products industry, before forming FBC and acquiring Omnitronics. Carr has extensive experience in international and domestic sales, marketing, distribution and general management for large, public companies.
"We were looking for a business that has a proprietary product, is in a niche market and has both domestic and international potential,” Carr says. “Omnitronics LLC was an excellent business opportunity because CAD and Astatic are well known and respected brands in the industry. They have been under-marketed until now, but both have significant upside potential because of the outstanding sales, engineering and operational talent focused on the two brands.
Pledging to devote his full time and attention CAD and Astatic, Carr added, "We are looking at a number of strategies to grow the business, including significantly broadening the product line, an enhanced Website, new advertising and public relations initiatives, artist endorsements and upgraded collateral and point of purchase materials. We are also improving our operational efficiencies with the addition of upgraded hardware and software systems."
Omnitronics has moved to a new operational and manufacturing facility in Solon, Ohio.
