EdgeSounds has released its Native Russian Vol. 1 ($149.95) sample library in NI Kontakt format. Native Russian Vol. 1 represents a collection of musical instruments found in Russian folkloric music.
The DVD-ROM offers more than 2,700 MB of samples of typical and rare folkloric instruments played in Russia’s middle-eastern region (Siberia, Altai). It comprises 76 instruments, 1,705 samples and 96 folders. The collection covers a wide range of instruments, from the free-reed family to plucked string and wind instruments, percussion and sound effects.
