Gepco CT504HD
At the AES Convention, Gepco International featured the CT504HD heavy-duty tactical Category-5e cable. The CT504HD is intended for use with Neutrik EtherCon connectors and is available from Gepco as pre-terminated cable assemblies.
The new CT504HD incorporates a double-jacket construction. The inner jacket of the CT504HD allows the pair to have proper physical spacing to achieve EIA/TIA Cat-5 specifications, while the TPE outer jacket protects the cable from physical damage or abuse. In addition, the CT504HD utilizes stranded 24-gage conductors for added flexibility and durability.
Gepco also introduced its new DS Series of 110Ω digital audio twisted-pair cables, which are available in 24- and 26-gage types and in multipair and single-pair configurations,
This new series has been engineered to achieve the bandwidth and performance required for transmission of high-resolution digital audio sample rates such as 96 kHz and 192 kHz. All Gepco DS Series cables are rated up to 25 MHz to meet the AES3-2003 specifications for these types of high sample rate digital audio cable interconnects. They feature minimal attenuation, low jitter and a 110Ω impedance.
The DS Series replaces the previous generation of Gepco 5500 Series of cables. Availability of the DS Series of cable starts in Q4 2004.
