Music recording facility Les Studios de la Seine has installed a 72-channel Solid State Logic XL 9000 K Series SuperAnalogue™ console in its new studio at its Bastille complex in Paris.
The studio will significantly expand Les Studios de la Seine’s production capacity, which already includes three studios in Bastille and three other studios in Père Lachaise in the heart of old Paris.
Studio owner Daniel Brunetti says the new studio at Bastille, called Studio D, is being built to meet the needs of existing clients and increase customer satisfaction. The Bastille facility already includes one SSL-equipped control room where an SSL 4000 G Series console has pride of place in the control room.
Commenting on the purchase, Brunetti says, “We have been SSL customers for some time now. The XL console was clearly a must that we were missing in order to further establish our reputation as a high end studio complex offering both analog and digital facilities for 5.1 mixing.”
Sara Mandiano, the studio's booking manager, adds, “I am delighted we will be able to offer our customers an XL 9000 K Series console from SSL. At last I will be able to say ‘Yes, we have one: Come on in.’”
