Los Angeles, CA (October 1, 2026)—Created in collaboration with Image-Line, maker of FL Studio, Novation is launching the FLpad and FLpad Mini, an 8×8 grid controller made specifically for the popular DAW software.
Both models have a familiar form factor, but while they look like Novation Launchpads, they have been specifically designed for working with FL Studio’s Channel Rack, from their user interfaces to firmware and DAW scripts.

As the larger of the two models, the FLpad provides a big grid and velocity-sensitive pads, while the FLpad Mini is intended for grab-and-go creation and more compact setups.
Both models have a lot in common, however—each offers 64 RGB-backlit pads with direct access to step sequencing, finger drumming and melodic playing, whether chromatically or locked to a chosen scale.

They also both sport dedicated controls for navigating the sequencer and channel rack, building tracks with Patterns, mode switching, transport control, undo/redo and more. Users can also create their own custom layouts for specific FL Studio workflows or for working with other software and hardware with Novation Components.
Both models come with six months of FL Studio Producer Edition plus various instruments and effects from UVI, GForce, and Klevgrand, and finger-drumming lessons from Melodics.
The FLpad runs $219.99 while the FLpad Mini lists for $139.99
