Sheridan, Wyoming (October 14, 2026)—British-Nigerian loudspeaker manufacturer SSounds has launched the largest—and final—part of its XTO Line Array System: the XTO 14X, a three-way, quad-amplified element designed for stadiums, arenas and large-scale outdoor productions.

Aiming to minimize backspill from the speakers, the XTO 14X has two 14-inch drivers handle the low end, but it also sports two 10-inch drivers firing to the side, using cardioid control to cancel rearward radiation.

A horn-loaded 10-inch driver covers the midrange, and three 4-inch-coil compression drivers run in parallel into the high frequency horn. One cabinet reaches 153 dB peak at 1 m, with 70- or 110-degree horizontal coverage by 8 degrees vertical.

Every XTO 14X gets its own D34X amplifier, with four sections driven independently. The element carries the same titanium three-point captive rigging, Fast-Set splay, Socapex loom and preset library as the rest of the XTO System. Cabinets are 18 mm and 15 mm Baltic birch with a Polyurea finish.

“We built the 14X for the stadiums we already work in, where the stage behind the array matters as much as the seats in front of it,” said Samuel Ozonyiri, CEO of SSounds. “Cardioid control in the box means the band hears the band, not the PA, and the system stays one design from the main hang to the outfill.”

SSounds was founded in 2013 and operates from its UK and European headquarters in Mildenhall (S Sounds Pro Ltd), its American headquarters in Sheridan, Wyoming, and its African headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria.
