CEntrance Celebrates 10th Anniversary

The CEntrance DACport 24-bit/96kHz USB headphone amp

CEntrance Inc., Chicago-based manufacturer of low-latency audio drivers and portable USB audio products MicPort Pro, AxePort Pro and DACport (pictured), is celebrating its 10th year in business. CEntrance started in 2000 by offering design services to audio manufacturers and since then has developed a client list that ranges from Alesis to Zoom.

In 2006 CEntrance began selling Windows audio drivers and a year later became a hardware manufacturer. The company also offers free Latency Test Utility software for evaluating audio equipment worldwide.

“To celebrate our 10th anniversary, the company is planning a range of exciting announcements, which we will share throughout the year,” says Michael Goodman, managing director of CEntrance. “We are offering a special anniversary sale on our newly introduced audiophile headphone [DA converter], the DACport. The anniversary sale price of $399.95 will run through the spring and will bring this unique, 24/96 driverless USB stereo DAC to a greater audience of mobile audiophiles.”

CEntrance also announces new artist endorsements. Harry Shearer, a leading radio personality, says that the company’s MicPort Pro is “remarkable.” The MicPort Pro features a studio-quality mic preamp and is widely used for voice-overs and broadcast worldwide.

Bassists Will Lee (Late Show With David Letterman) and Derrick Murdock (Jay Leno) both rely on AxePort Pro, a portable USB instrument preamp. They join bassist Nathan East, saxophonist Eric Marienthal, Richard Fortus from Guns ‘N Roses, Trey Gunn from King Crimson, and others.
