HOLLYWOOD — EASTWEST, the industry leader in soundware development and distribution, is offering tutorials for its new Ministry of Rock and Voices of Passion collections free for download on the company‘s website. The tutorials provide those interested in the ground-breaking PLAY powered products, offering both 64-bit and 32-bit support (a first for multi-format virtual instruments), an in-depth overview of how easy and incredible sounding these virtual instruments are, and the power and simplicity of the PLAY software.

Ministry of Rock and Voices of Passion creator and leading composer, Nick Phoenix, gives visitors an inside tour of the collections‘ interfaces and the capabilities of its instruments. To date, Phoenix has developed scores or licensed music for more than 1000 major motion picture trailers, including “Spiderman 3,” “Rush Hour 3,” “300,” “The Last Mimzy,” “Night at the Museum,” and “Pirates of the Caribbean 3,” as well as scoring numerous TV shows for NBC, CBS, Showtime, Fox Family, and the History Channel. Quantum Leap Ministry of Rock (to view tutorial, visit is a huge 20 gigabyte collection of rock drums, basses and guitars recorded in the world-famous EASTWEST Studio 2, which has been host to some of the top rock groups such as Metallica, Green Day, Stone Temple Pilots and System of a Down. The collection was created with one goal in mind: to introduce a virtual instrument capable of producing sounds that can be used to produce a hit record or film score without any live drums, bass or guitars.

Quantum Leap Voices of Passion (to view tutorial, visit ), is a virtual instrument of female vocalists from Wales, Syria, India, Bulgaria and America. Voices of Passion features five outstanding professional female artists singing vowels, words, morphing vowels, effects, phrases, calls, whispers and breath noises. It is not a replacement for a lead singer, it is designed as a voice based instrument, and the first virtual instrument or sample library produced specifically for use in the film/TV/game genre.
