Robert Carranza Records and Mixes Johnson’s Fifth Studio Album

Jack Johnson’s fifth studio album, “To The Sea,” has been mastered at Bernie Grundman’s with Brushfire Records’ GM Josh Nicotra and recording engineer/co-producer Robert Carranza in session with mastering engineer Bernie Grundman.

The new album was co-produced by Johnson, his bandmates bassist Merlo Podlewski, keyboardist Zach Gill, and drummer Adam Topol, and Johnson’s longtime engineer Robert Carranza. “To The Sea” was recorded at Johnson’s two solar-powered studios: The Mango Tree in Hawaii and the Solar Powered Plastic Plant in Los Angeles. The album will be released on June 1, 2010, on Johnson’s label, Brushfire Records.

European tour is scheduled for June 16 to July 4, followed by a US tour from July through October.
