Red Bull Studio (Santa Monica, Calif.) recently hosted sessions with rock icons Anthrax, who tracked guitars for a new album with producer/engineer Rob Caggiano. Also visiting Red Bull were Good Charlotte, writing and recording demos with producers Sam Hollander and Dave Katz. Also in Studio A, Harry Connick Jr. recorded in with producer Tracey Freeman, engineer Vince Caro and assistant Aki Nishimura; and Joshua Bell worked with producer Steven Epstein, engineer Richard King and assistant Lodeiro. In Avatar Studios B and C, Angelique Kidjo recorded with producer Jean Hebrail, engineer Russ Elevado and assistant Nishimura…Amy Grant tracked several new songs at Nashville recording studio Vibe 56. One of the songs, “Unafraid,â€? is already available on iTunes as part of an E.P. that Grant rush-released for Mother’s Day called She Colors My Day. The sessions were produced by Greg Morrow and Mike Brignardello, and engineered by Ben Strano and assistant Scott Velazco…At Nashville’s Merit Studios, producer Henry Golis recorded musicians Charlie McCoy, D.J. Fontana, Mike Leech and vocalists The Jordanaires. Tom Pick engineered…Castle Recording Studio (Franklin, TN) proudly announced that numerous CMT Award-winning artists had recorded their projects at Castle this year. Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Darius Rucker, Trace Adkins, Alan Jackson and the Carter Twins all recorded at the famed studio known to be a former hideout for Al Capone during the 1930s.
