BUENOS AIRES: Sergio Molho, founding partner of the Walters-Storyk Design Group Latin American office, www.wsdg.com , reports the company has been awarded the acoustic consultants contract for a major new MTV production facility.
“This new complex will support full production and post production for MTV, Nick and VH1 in Buenos Aires,” Molho says. “The facility will include: two television studios, a Master Control Room, eleven Video Edit Suites an Audio Post Suite and over 2000 sq. feet of production offices, conference rooms and support space.”
The WSDG assignment will encompass the internal acoustics of the critical listening
invironments, overall acoustics for the general office spaces and conference rooms and
isolation specs for the facility. Molho will supervise all technical aspects of the assignment, company project manager Mariana Varon will coordinate the day-to-day activities. Gabe Hauser of the WSDG office in Basel, Switzerland performed all acoustic calculations related to the STC and RT60 performance of the spaces.
Construction of the facility will be completed in December, 2008.
