AlphaTheta Corporation is pleased to announce that its President and CEO, Yoshinori Kataoka, has been named to Billboard magazine’s “2026 Dance Power Players List” for the first time.
Published by Billboard, the Dance Power Players List recognizes the most influential executives, promoters, artists, and creators shaping the global dance and electronic music scene. Honorees are selected based on their cultural impact worldwide and their proven contributions to the growth and evolution of the industry.
In this year’s selection, Mr. Kataoka was highly commended for AlphaTheta’s long-standing commitment to advancing DJ culture on a global scale through DJ equipment and related services, as well as for the company’s efforts in supporting diverse communities and expanding its presence and engagement in international markets.

Biography
Yoshinori Kataoka, President and CEO, AlphaTheta Corporation
Raised in Tochigi, Japan, and educated at the Faculty of Engineering at Ibaraki University, Mr. Kataoka joined Pioneer Corporation, where he was involved as an engineer in the launch of the DJ business. He later worked in the United States, serving as the head of sales and marketing for the Americas. In March 2015, following a corporate spin-off, he became President of the U.S. sales subsidiary of Pioneer DJ Corporation (now AlphaTheta Corporation). He was appointed President and CEO of AlphaTheta in January 2020 and continues to lead the company today.
