Slash Lands In Poland

Headbanging knows no borders, and as proof, former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash (featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators) recently played a sold-out show in Poland at the Spodek in Katowice. Promoted by Metal Mind Productions, the show found the guitarist filling the club not only with fans but sound from his trademark Les Paul via a JBL Professional VTX line array system provided by sound reinforcement companies ProSound and Music Cook.

Katowice, Poland (April 9, 2013)—Headbanging knows no borders, and as proof, former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash (featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators) recently played a sold-out show in Poland at the Spodek in Katowice. Promoted by Metal Mind Productions, the show found the guitarist filling the club not only with fans but sound from his trademark Les Paul via a JBL Professional VTX line array system provided by sound reinforcement companies ProSound and Music Cook.

FOH engineer Tim ‘Quake’ Mark mixed the show on a Soundcraft Vi4 digital console for the house system consisting of left and right hangs of eight VTX V25 fullsize line array elements, bolstered by a dozen VTX G28 subs, stacked vertically in L/C/R blocks of four. These were powered by Crown Audio VRack 12000HD amplification systems. Additionally, two hangs of six JBL VerTec VT4888DP elements were deployed as outfills, with a further eight filling the front rows in the arena.

Providing technical assistance and crewing duties for the two rental companies were Daniel Dybala, Dominik Piasecki, Piotr Gilewski, Andrzej Jach, Sebastian Dudek, Tomasz Bochenek and Marcin Kowalski.
