Institute of Production & Recording To Open New Facility

The Institute of Production & Recording (IPR) in Minneapolis announces that it will open a new facility in a fully renovated space in downtown Minneapolis in July 2012, which coincides with IPR’s10th anniversary. The new facility, located at 300 North 1st Avenue, will incorporate the latest digital media technologies and allow the media arts school to expand its audio production and engineering, music and entertainment business, sound design for visual media, as well as Avid Pro Tools and Apple Logic Pro courses.

“This is a prime location, close to Minneapolis’ premiere night clubs, music venues, theaters, and a thriving creative market,” says IPR Campus Director Brian Jacoby. “With the increased use of digital media in music business, audio production, digital video, and the graphic arts, we see opportunities to prepare students for new careers in these areas. We have outgrown our current facility and need something that can grow with us as we look to the future and expanded program possibilities.”

“Due to the advancement in digital technology, the concept of the ‘creative entrepreneur’ has bled into all aspects of the entertainment industry,” says Lance Sabin, IPR co-founder and co-owner. “Through a ground-up renovation and a killer new location, IPR plans for the future today.”
