The race for the U.S. Presidency is as heated as ever this year, with Republicans and Democrats alike aiming to get their man in this White House come November. Key to that process is the series of three presidential debates, the second of which takes place this evening at Hofstra University, just outside New York City. There, the candidates will hold a Town Hall-style debate, taking on all the important, pressing issues that face the world today. But here on the PSN blog, let’s talk about what really matters, folks: the audio gear being used in the Media Filing Center adjacent to the debate hall.
Thousands of journalists from every kind of media have descended on the campus to cover the event, and over the weekend, Hofstra’s Facebook account posted this photo of the Media Filing Center (right-click on it to open it to full-size).
While it’s an impressive expanse there, our eyes were naturally drawn to the audio gear on-hand, and figuring our readership might be equally attracted, we re-posted it to our own Facebook and Twitter accounts, asking eagle-eyed readers if they could I.D. the equipment. Some got it right, some named gear that wasn’t there (that’s a TV remote of some sort, not a Shure mic), and others just enjoyed poking fun at the media.
Now it’s your turn: What audio gear is in the photo? Answer below in the comments section! (Fair Warning – it takes a while for our system to post your answer, so just ‘send’ it once…)
