Toronto, Canada (September 24, 2008)–Santiago Perez Sonido Professional, located in Bogota, Colombia, recently became the newest Latin American partner of Adamson Systems Engineering. Key man Santiago Perez purchased 10 Adamson SpekTrix cabinets, two SpekTrix Ws, six SpekTrix Subs, and two Adamson proprietary DX6000 processors for his inventory.

A small company with six employees, Santiago Perez Sonido Professional has been in the business of sound and lighting for the past five years. Focused mainly on small to midsized festivals and corporate events, Perez’s shop now includes Adamson compact-sized line arrays, JBL monitors, Yamaha digital boards, a Soundcraft analog board, and a small inventory of moving lights.

As a musician, Perez started off in the business as a keyboard player for a Colombian pop band called Tinto. While in the band, he began to buy small systems, which he’d rent to bands, his own included, as well as to a handful of small rock festivals. Since then, he has been in a state of fast-paced growth, acquiring products and gear to better serve his growing client base.

Perez decided on Adamson after the frequent use of a similar Adamson SpekTrix setup from a local Adamson partner, Producciones Carlos Vallejo. Abba Trading Technical director Daniel Fernandez flew in for a multi-day training seminar before S.P. Sonido Professional’s first show with its new Adamson system.

The debut took place at a corporate event in Bogota, with system tech Arbey Bohada tuning the PA for Dr. Krapula, who performed for an audience 2,000 people at the event. The sound setup for the show, along with the full Adamson inventory, included JBL wedges and M7CL boards for monitor and FOH mix positions.
