When Aerosmith hit the road for their current co-headlining tourwith KISS, they turned to Audio One for a live sound and six studioupgrades, which comprised Pro Tools updates to HD (including a varietyof HD Process cards, 192 interfaces, and plug-ins from Waves andDigidesign) for live and studio recording systems, as well asindividual studio upgrades for bandmembers Joe Perry, Steven Tyler, TomHamilton and Joey Kramer.
Audio One chief design engineer Michael Adams and companyfounder/president David Frangioni outlined each of the systems into CADfiles, which were used as reference documents for the installers. Aftereach system was designed and coordinated by Audio One with the band'stechnical engineers, Paul Caruso and Paul Santo, the design went toAdams for the actual layout and engineering. From there, each systemwas installed and wired on-site.
“Audio One's relationship with the band goes back to thePump album and tour,” said Frangioni. “Ever sincethen, we've been designing and implementing all of their technologyneeds including studios, home theaters, backline tour rigs and otherrelated electronic technologies. We handle Aerosmith's technical needsso they can focus on making music and entertaining.”
