New York, NY (October 31, 2013)—Coal Chamber has been on tour recently, using Behringer’s X32 digital console at various stops. Talking before a gig at New York City’s Nokia Theatre in Times Square, the band’s FOH engineer, Leonard Contreras, talked about the move to the new desk.

As it turns out, he decided to take the X32 on the road after trying it firsthand at LA’s famed Whisky a Go Go, where he is the club’s production manager, as well as front of house (FOH) engineer. Over the course of two nights, he used the X32 for the club’s FOH and monitor systems; says Contreras , “I was so impressed; it was an easy setup and the features were phenomenal!” That view extended to the console’s remote navigation using an iPad: “The navigation, the feel, the lack of latency between the console and iPad was a big factor; I was impressed by that,” he said.

Soon after, he took the desk on tour and was pleased with the result. “I got to explore all the features and hear it through multiple PA systems in different venues, and the sound was phenomenal…After that tour, I was sold.”
