Applied Research and Technology (ART) has introduced the SLA 2™ studio linear power amplifier. The 2-channel SLA 2 delivers 200 watts per channel and occupies one rackspace. For studio use, SmartFan™ technology cools the unit, with the fan speed dependant on the amplifier workload.
Additional features include dampened and retractable channel level controls, 560W bridged mono mode output, and XLR, 1/4-inch and Euroblock connections.
For fixed installs, a Euroblock barrier strip and front panel tamper-proof cover are included. The SLA-2 is also suitable for moderate live performance needs.
The unit will be available in September 2004, with an MSRP of $379.
